Plume Agate Cabochons
Plume agate has fluffy inclusions which often appear to be
soft and have depth. Sometimes plume agate inclusions resemble feathers, plants, or flowers. Graveyard Point
Plume Agate is a well-known seam agate found in far eastern Oregon. The area is only seven miles from Homedale, Idaho and
just two miles across the Idaho-Oregon border. Agate enthusiasts have collected here for over 40 years and still do.
Since I made this page, I've also added pages with distinct types of plume agates, and eventually almost everything
on this page will be moved elsewhere.

This is one of my favorite cabochons that I have up for sale, and I've often considered keeping it for myself. Sometimes
called angel wing agate, it has beautiful well-defined plumes running through a translucent background that's has
a slight yellowish tint to it. Material comes from Graveyard Point, Or. Approx. size: 37x19 Weight: 35.2

Very pretty point that I cut a long time ago from a left over scrap of a slab of regency rose plume agate from Idaho
that I had cut cabochons out of. There are really pretty pastel colors throughout this piece that would make a
stunning pendant. There is a small flaw in the back of the stone caused by a pit in the agate. Approx. size: 43x8x5
Weight: 14.8 cts.

Another piece of "angelwing" material from Graveyard Point, Or. This free-form is a bit busier than #GCPA001,
and the plumes aren't as distinct. Still, it's a wonderful cabochon of classic material! Approx. size: 18x23
Weight: 15 cts.

I don't know much about this plume agate, but it has some resplendent brown fluffy plumes running through it.
Unfortunately, I acquired this many, many years ago, and I not only can't remember where it came from, but I only have a few
small pieces left that I've been using for ringstones. The larger stone is cut with a flat top and beveled edge.
Approx. sizes: 6x10 8x18 Total Weight: 4.95 cts.
