Stone Canyon Jasp-Agate Rings
Jasper is an opaque, crypto-crystalline variety of
quartz that contains up to 20% of foreign matter that help determine the color and pattern of the stone. Because of
these foreign inclusions, jasper is very rarely a uniform color and pattern, and is often striped, spotted, or mottled in
appearance. Stone canyon jasper originates in the coastal area of central California about halfway between Los Angeles
and San Francisco.

Pretty little ring is made from a 8x12 pear-shaped cabochon that I hand cut from this classic material and set into a
plain bezel cup and mounted on a size 7½ split shank ring.
