Spider Jasper Specimens

Here's another type of jasper that I can't really tell you much about except that it comes from Mexico.  I got real excited when I first saw the rough material and I couldn't wait to try it out in some jewelry, but the lighter colored areas totally undercut and don't take a polish.  While it didn't work too well as small gemstones for jewelry, it looks fantastic when polished in larger pieces.
