Woodward Ranch Plume Agate Cabochons
West Texas is famous for its wide variety of unique, beautiful agates and jaspers. Many of the different types
of agate from this area are highly prized by collectors, lapidaries, and jewelry artists world-wide. Thirty-five million years
ago, volcanic activity in the Big Bend area produced the enviroment for these beautiful gemstones to be created. Quartz crystallizing
as nodules inside gas pockets or in cracks formed delicate patterns with plumes, banding, moss, or bouquets in a variety of
colors caused by chemical impurities in the quartz. Woodward Ranch is located in the heart of Big Bend - Davis Mountains country.

Very, very, very cool patterns on this oddly shaped stone. It's about 2mm thick which makes it just a little thicker
than a guitar pick, which it weirdly and unintentionally resembles. This would be a great piece for wirewrapping! Approx.
size: 29x37 Weight: 14.9 cts.
