Amethyst Earrings
Amethyst is the common name for purple quartz. It occurs naturally throughout the world in many
locations, notably Minas Gerais, Brazil; Thunder Bay, Canada; and Vera Cruz, Mexico. It has been a popular gemstone
since ancient times and the Greeks once believed that you couldn't get drunk from drinking wine if you held an amethyst under
your tongue.
