Rhodonite Cabochons
Rhodonite is a manganese inosilicate, that commonly occurs as cleavable to compact masses with a rose-red
color (the name comes from the Greek rhodos, rosy), often tending to brown because of surface oxidation. Rhodonite
is often used as an ornamental stone, and is the official gem of Massachusetts.

This flat triangle has great contrasting colors and would make a dynamite wirewrapped pendant. Unfortunately, it
has a rather obvious flaw right in the center of the back of the stone. The flaw can't be seen from the front, but I
discounted the gem anyway. Approx. size: 18x23 Weight: 15.2 cts.
