Mary Ellen Jasper Cabochons
Mary Ellen jasper is a two billion year old cyanobacteria fossil with hematite from the Mary Ellen mine
in Biwabik, MN. It takes a great polish and makes an interesting gemstone that resembles the jaspilite from the Upper
Peninsula iron mining districts.
