Crazy Lace Agate Cabochons
I have gems cut from two different stones, and both are known as crazy lace agate.
First, I have the traditional crazy lace from Mexico that is fairly common and easily recognizable. Secondly, I have
some material from Potosi, Mo. locally refered to as Missouri Crazy Lace Agate. It doesn't have the really crazy patterns
that the mexican material has, but it's really beautiful, and makes some awesome cabs.

Nice piece of Mexican crazy lace cut into a triangle. Both sides are flat and this piece would be good for inlay
or as a pendant. I made a lot of this shape specifically for wire-wrapping. There is a flaw on the back side in
the red area. Approx. size: 18x22 Weight: 14.15 cts.

Wow! This piece is truly awesome! Lots of great pastel colors and crazy patterns in this piece that was cut
from old Mexican material I acquired that had been lying in a garage since the 50s. Approx. size: 32x38 Weight:
44.05 cts.

This point was cut from some more great Mexican material that I acquired from an older gentleman that had purchased it
back in the 60s. There really are some great patterns on this piece! All sides are flat, not rounded. This
stone is just crying out to be made into a pendant! Approx. size: 5x7(at the top)x56 Weight: 23.4 cts.

Another nice piece cut from the same material as #3 with awesome wavy lines. This point measures approx. 5x10mm
at the top and 45mm long. Weight: 20.85 cts.

Nice little Mexican Crazy Lace with a drusy crystal filled vug near the top. Approx. 30mm long and 6x6mm wide at
the top. Weight: 15.3 cts.

This stone proves that I can cut rounds and ovals! This is from the material from Potosi, Missouri. I've
had some difficulty finding this material lately so if anybody has a few slabs lying around, I'd like to trade with you! Approx.

This very cool and unique cabochon came off the edge of a piece of Mexican crazy lace that had been sitting in a garage
since the 50s. Only about 3/8th of an inch of the material had these colors and patterns and most of it I made into
jewelry and sold. Approx. size: 15x27 Weight: 18.7 cts.
